There are no traditional diagonals in this game, with every square on the board being part of the game. The board is designed so that the corners face the players, allowing for three unique ways to move the pieces.

How to play
The Pskov checkers game is played on a board that can be either small (37 cells) or large (61 cells). Each player has between 13 and 24 checkers, depending on the board size. The corners of the board face the players. Simple checkers move in three directions and capture in all six. Capturing is mandatory and must be completed. Players can choose any branch of capture when there are multiple options. A simple checker becomes a king in the corner of the board opposite the player. When a checker stands on this field, the move ends, and the queen cannot cut in the same move. This gives rise to the «long-range lady».
