How to play
Assemble a team of four heroes for your adventure in Eye of the Beholder. The ideal composition includes one or two melee fighters, a priest to heal the group, and a mage for magical support. You'll have the option to add two more companions later on.
During battles, positioning is crucial: only the heroes in the front row can use melee weapons to attack. Those in the back row should rely on ranged weapons like bows, darts, slings, or utilize staves and spells. To switch the positions of two heroes, simply click on the portrait or name of one, then click on the other to swap them.
To launch an attack, right-click on the weapon icon; for spellcasting, right-click the spellbook or spell icon. After using a weapon or spell, it will turn gray—wait a moment for it to become usable again.
First, you must memorize spells in the Camp menu, and then let the party rest for several hours.
A key survival strategy is to attack, then step back or to the side, wait for recovery, and strike once more. Always keep an eye on the walls—there are many hidden buttons, teleporters, and secret doors in the game. Remember, there's no built-in map to guide you.
