About game
Parry Core is a dynamic arcade game played on a single screen. In the centre, there's a glowing core, and projectiles come flying in from all sides. To deflect them, raise a shield on the side where the threat is coming from just before the projectile hits. You don't move the core; instead, you anticipate the attack and respond with a tap.
Successfully deflecting projectiles in a row increases your combo multiplier. If you deflect a projectile at the outer ring, you get a PERFECT parry, which awards double points and charges the meter faster. When the charge ring around the core is full, tap the core to release a NOVA, clearing the entire screen.
Every fifth wave, a Core Breaker appears and fires volleys at your core. Parry its shots to destroy it.
Earn Cores with each playthrough and spend them on upgrades such as extra lives, a wider parry window, faster NOVA charge, and bigger payouts.
The game offers three lives and no timer, but the pressure comes from the increasing number of projectiles. Some darts are fast, while heavy shards require two taps to deflect. The game supports touch controls for mobile devices and arrow keys or WASD on desktop. No download required, load instantly.
How to play
- To block an attack, tap on the side from which it comes (top, right, bottom or left of the screen). - On a computer, use the arrow keys or WASD (Up / Right / Down / Left) to raise the shield. Press Space to launch a NOVA. - If you deflect a threat as it reaches the outer ring, you'll get a PERFECT parry, earning double points and extra NOVA charge. - Each successful parry fills the charge ring around the core. When it turns gold, tap the core to release a NOVA and clear the screen. - Perfect parries increase your combo multiplier (x1.5, x2, x2.5 and so on). A missed block resets it. - There are different types of threats: darts require one tap, heavy hexagons need two, and splitters divide into two, requiring you to parry both. - Every fifth wave, a Core Breaker boss appears — parry its shots to defeat it. - You have three lives; if a threat reaches the core, you lose one. Use the cores you earn to buy UPGRADES between runs and beat your high score (saved on your device).Game info
