Night of Strange Guests is a game of logic and mystery set in a peculiar hotel with a haunted reputation. Each guest possesses unique quirks, phobias, and hidden dangers.
Throughout the day, you assign guests to rooms—from ordinary travelers to witches, bards, knights, princesses, aristocrats, and vampires. As night falls, the hotel buzzes with activity: bards create commotion, ghosts spook those above, witches cast spells, knights ward off dark entities, and vampires seek out vulnerable prey.
Each chapter presents a specific objective: amass a certain amount of gold, prevent guest losses, orchestrate particular events, or endure multiple nights. There's often no one-size-fits-all solution; you must weigh risks and decide whom to protect before dawn breaks.
The game features meticulously crafted story chapters that introduce mechanics gradually, alongside an endless mode challenging you to survive as long as possible.
How to play
Throughout the day, guests come to the hotel. You need to select a guest from the line and assign them to an empty room. Before night falls, you can rearrange the guests who have already checked in.
Pay attention to the characteristics of each guest to determine who can spend the night together. Some guests favour dark rooms, while others prefer sunlight. Certain guests appreciate quiet neighbours, whereas some want to be near knights or aristocrats. Be mindful of troublesome guests: bards create noise, witches conduct rituals, ghosts frighten those above, and vampires prey on unsuspecting commoners.
Once you're satisfied with the arrangement, start the night. The morning report will show you who paid, who left without paying, who perished, and how the hotel has changed.
Fulfil the main objectives to complete a chapter. For an outstanding result, try to achieve the additional objectives as well. In endless mode, your goal is to survive for as long as possible.
