In this game, a move is not just a simple touch — it's an artillery strike. The board transforms into a tactical battlefield with command markings. Instead of regular pieces, you have two conflicting armies: soldiers, officers, armoured cars, and tanks. Each capture turns into a vivid battle: infantry raise their rifles, turrets rotate, grenades fly through the air, and the camera plunges into the heart of the explosion.
Underneath the combat action lies the essence of classic chess without any simplifications: castling, en passant, pawn promotion, stalemate, and the 50-move rule are all preserved.
— Three levels of AI: from random actions to a cunning tactician.
— Hints for the best move and the option to undo a move.
— Second Chance after checkmate: revert the critical move and continue the fight.
— Leaderboard: victories on higher difficulty levels count double.
— Comfortable gameplay in both portrait and landscape modes, playable with one hand.
Chess enthusiasts will appreciate the depth, while strategy fans will enjoy the excitement on every square. Build your front line and lead your army to triumph!
How to play
Victory in Chess Frontline means checkmating the enemy king. Here's how to play:
1. Choose your piece by tapping or clicking — possible moves will be highlighted.
2. Select a highlighted square — your troops will follow the command. If an enemy is there, a clash will ensue: rifle fire, grenades, or tank shots.
3. Before starting, choose your side and the AI's skill level.
Camera controls:
— On phones: swipe an empty area beside the board to rotate it; use two fingers to pinch and zoom.
— On PC: hold the left mouse button over an empty space and move the mouse to rotate the board; use the mouse wheel to adjust the zoom.
If you're stuck, press Hint to see the best move. Made a mistake? Use Undo. Got checkmated? Second Chance will take you back two moves.
Beat the AI to earn leaderboard points: defeat a weak opponent for 0.5 points, a strong one for a full point. Rise through the ranks and become the master of the board!
